^ Try 2 1/2 hours.

I honestly don't know why they bother with saying it will be "30 minutes" at all.  It's never an even vaguely accurate assumption.

TransLink and Queensland Rail, we deserve better ..

Greetings,

Anyone listening to 612 ABC Brisbane radio with Spencer Howson this morning would be rather confused.

There was a level crossing incident on the Cleveland Line which stopped rail services.  There was no bus replacements organised because TransLink were suggesting that it was Queensland Rail's responsibility, whilst Queensland Rail was suggesting it was TransLink's responsibility.

I was informed at a Queensland Rail Ipswich Line Community Reference Group meeting that rail replacement services are TransLink's responsibility.

Has anyone told TransLink?

Honestly, passengers deserve a lot better.  Worlds worst fares, poor service frequency, failing bus and rail networks, passengers sacrificed on political whims ...

Best wishes
Robert

5:24pm Roma Street to Nambour train delayed by broken down Caboolture train ahead of them.
No mention or record of this delay on either the TransLink Twitter feed, Queensland rail Twitter feed or the TransLink website.

Passengers reported seeing the 5:44pm Gympie North ICE train pass them whilst they were waiting behind the broken down train just south of Morayfield station.
Delay reported as being between 25 to 30 minutes late as a result of this breakdown.

Situations occur and reliability has been much improved in the last couple of months, I just hope it isn't due to the non-reporting of incidents such as this one tonight.

Fares_Fair

lol @ the courier mail website. First they have a photo of what looks like a South Australian train

then when you open the article its a photo of a major weekday peak hour delay with people at a bus stop.

Typical useless sub editors. How hard must it be to get a photo of a QR train that's recent  :-r :-r
