Most news outlets have a road report, would abc consider a transit report. Could start the morning with which trains have no loo, 3 car services, disruptions, bus congestion and delays, any new services etc. maybe ring up translink person and get the report from them e
ach morning on air.
Negative people... have a problem for every solution. Posts are commentary and are not necessarily endorsed by RAIL Back on Track or its members.

So the major annoyance with this is the run between Petrie and Northgate?  Doesn't seem the end of the world as you can just change units at a station.

Minister promised to fix toilet problem on SC trains.  Another government promise down the drain.  Why does it take a Ministerial directive to QR to fix a problem whereas other rail operators manage to have working toilets on their trains, without drama?  Why does QR fail to follow a Ministerial directive?

ozbob

I think there is a lot of sensitivity to the toilet issue now.  QR had obviously passed onto 612 ABC that the 6.40am service out of Nambour had no functioning toilets, and I think that is to be commended - the fact that the information was made public. I assume they had been vandalised/broken down and weren't able to be repaired in time.

True, but no information from other sources e.g. Twitter or Facebook by TransLink/QR?
Was it announced on that train? I haven't heard.

Second time this week our loos have been out of order, had a very good 'run' (excuse the pun) since the directive.
There was 1 time the day just after the floods but that was left to go through to the keeper given the drastic situation of the floods over that long week-end.

Just for the record, the ex-Nambour to Roma Street train that departed Petrie station on 8/2/13 at 7:33am had a faulty toilet (front carriage). Felt sorry for the young lady who tried to use it just outside of Northgate station. Not sure if she got off at Northgate. (She came from another carriage.)

I guess one consolation for the long-suffering Sunshine Coast travellers is that the trains stop all stations from Northgate in to the city, so they can get off at one of those stations if the toilet is not functioning on the train. :D

Cheers, that is the one other time that I refer to.
I saw a schoolboy head off to use it this morning at Northgate... he never came back to join his mates.
