@QueenslandRail: @squashedpeaches better to be informed??

@squashedpeaches: @QueenslandRail Assumption that I check my emails if I were out and about on the train network.

I wonder how FG was coping, Since I haven't heard the PA system in use since they finished the build, so i'm wondering if it is even working at this stage.

ICE ?

Reports from an acquaintance say that the ICE broke down... Again

They're lucky that the ICE decided to crap out at Caboolture, with a Ipswich train opposite. (As opposed to arranging buses if the ICE died before Caboolture).

The IMU100 series (don't have numbers) on the 5:24pm Nambour service terminated at Eagle Junction today due to issues with a few doors.  It's been reported parked on Northgate atm with all doors open. (The Mains are sharing one track at Northgate station).

There was a system fault putting the doors into safe mode apparently (Most likely one door was playing up). They'll be getting replaced soon anyway.

ozbob

Only explanation I can think of is that unit failures must be excluded on the contract performance measures, which is a bit odd as unit failures would overall reflect longer term maintenance performance?

One failure can push a lot behind time ..

Must have been a big buckle as the ballast has seperated from the tracks. What quality journalism.

FYI, 2010/2011 flood season on the Moura line IIRC. What makes it even better reporting is when you consider where the Moura line is in relation to where the Spirit Of The Outback travels. It branches out from Gladstone. Not from Rocky into the Blackwater system out to Emerald and on to Longreach.
