Trains traveling both directions on the Airport and Gold Coast lines will be delayed due to a track fault at Eagle Junction.

Customers can expect delays of up to 30 minutes.

The Airport train will now operate as a half hour service. Normal services should resume by 6.00pm.

Trains traveling inbound and outbound on the Cleveland line will turn back from Wellingtion point, due to a track fault at Wellington Point.

Alternative travel is being arranged for passengers between Wellington Point and Cleveland.

Points fault at Holmview

The Gold Coast and Beenleigh train lines have been reduced to a single track between Bethania and Holmview stations.

All inbound and outbound trains are still running but will face delays up to 30 minutes as the single line causes opposing trains to wait for services ahead of them to clear the line.

Airport trains using this line will also face delays.

TRAINS are running again on the Gold Coast-Beenleigh line after being halted by a police incident which has also had repercussions for people travelling to Brisbane Airport this Labour Day holiday.

Buses had replaced trains at six stations as a result of the incident about 10 am between Kuraby and Banoon.

Trains have since resumed but delays are excepted to continue.

Travellers on the Gold Coast-Beenleigh line, and the Airtrain, have been warned to expect delays of up to an hour.

Overhead power has been restored to some sections of the line but Kuraby, Runcorn, Fruitgrove, Altandi, Sunnybank and Banoon stations were out of action.

Trains are still running from Central south to Banoon station and return, and from Varsity Lakes and Beenleigh to Kuraby and back.

Traffic is also heavy on the highways to and from the Gold and Sunshine Coasts as families seek to take advantage of the glorious holiday weather.

Congestion is also being reported on the roads throughout the Gold Coast, including the Gold Coast Highway, Marine Parade and Sea World Drive.

Trains suspended through Yeerongpilly

Trains are currently suspended on the Gold Coast and Beenleigh lines due to a track fault at Yeerongpilly.

Outbound trains are facing delays up to 45 minutes.

Inbound trains are travelling into the city via the Tennyson loop line and connecting with the Ipswich line at Corinda.

For inbound passengers travelling to stations missed by the Tennyson Loop diversion buses will operate between Moorooka and and Dutton Park stations (Moorooka, Yeerongpilly, Yeronga, Fairfield and Dutton Park)

Currently onboard the 19:48 Brisbane Airport ex Nerang running 15 minutes down due to police incident at Robina. So far no notice on the translink website about this delay.

One would think if a train is 15 minutes late customers should be made aware of it by Translink. I was notified by the station staff at Nerang.

Arrived at South Bank 21:24 - 24 minutes down since we had to drive slow for 10 minutes due to the all stations train just ahead of us. QR decided not to use the express track between Kuraby and South Bank to gain time. I have just requested a reason why the express track was not used.

Again, the train is running even later now and still nothing about this on the Translink website. Not good enough.
