And why couldn't those services just be held until the correct time??

Something isn't quite right.

Running early, that is different, telling commuters it is running early is mindblowing.

FG might of needed to empty out the track for something since there is construction and such happening there. or someone might of mis-planned and both plats were full and another one was coming (would also explain why there were able to offer one on such short notice).

Dual transport mode ferry and train didn't really work that well tonight. Went to catch the 9.20pm ferry to regatta to connect to 9.52pm train from toowong to oxley. Ferry was 15mins late which then caused me to miss 9.52pm train which wasn't so bad but then the 10.07pm train unlike the 9.52pm train is running late... Doh. Another observation re the ferry hooded readers is that they don't work so well . I red lighted on my first attempt causing the ever informative ... Seek assistance message... After a second attempt it green lighted and boarded then upon trying to disembark it green lighted then red lighted. I assume that the hoods are distorted due to the sun and weather and as a result do not sit flush with the reader causing the read errors. Ok am now on the train heading home and the train is only around 8 mins late so not as bad as first indicated on the screens

How many infrastructure faults have there been this week?
Why are there so many faults?
Are QR measured on the number of infrastructure faults?
Does any other suburban rail network in the country have as many faults in a month as are experienced in the Brisbane area in a week?
Why aren't the media or LNP demanding answers to such questions?  :pr

I suppose it's a good thing that the services are so frequent now that the delays become small

Inbound Gympie-Lander was observed running approx. 40 mins late through Fortitude Valley this pm, where it seen to be having further "issues". Are ICE's more trouble than what they are worth?

Arnz

ICEs are doing the jobs they were not originally designed for.  Hence the decreased reliability (not to mention Gympie North being separated from the others onto the Suburbans line sector (instead of mains) for many reasons).

They were originally the Rockhampton Spirit of Capricorn carriages before they were replaced by the Tilt Trains in the late 90s.

Why are the traveltrain services so close together?  Indeed, why have the Sunlander south of Rockhampton at all when you could interchange from the Tilt?  I guess its the same for the Spirit of the Outback.  Without the motorail service, they have lost their reason for existing IMO.

A mixture of train paths, station staff and arrival/departure times at the terminus. You have to remember the Tilts gain so much time over the Sunlander. Alone they are 20-30 mins faster between Nambour-Gympie North.
