So what happened to the two other trains that would've been due in that interval? If they ran, why not just cancel the 70 minutes late ones? It's a bit pointless.

I understand if the sets/crews required repositioning for other services, but surely it's much quicker to do that as non-revenue services?

(Obviously, this only applies for the Caboolture-Ipswich section of the route.)
