A woman is in critical condition after a train and car crash at Wynnum West, in Brisbane's east on Friday afternoon.

Paramedics were on scene treating the woman after the train and car crashed about 1.40pm at the railway crossing where Lindum and North roads intersect.

QR says warning lights were operational when woman was struck by train.

Queensland Rail suspended services on the Cleveland line and was sourcing buses for commuters.
