Reported service disruptions rail - no longer in use

Thought needs to be given to train reliability and frequency in the corridor north of Nambour, especially with the investment in station upgrades at Cooran, Pomona and Eumundi due to be finalised at end of year.  People are regularly driving to Nambour to catch train, because they can't rely on the Gympie North service to turn up.  No doubt, QR says resulting low patronage at stations north of Nambour does not warrant extra trains, or shuttles. In any event, might have to be shuttle buses due to the restrictions of a single track with passing loops.

SUNSHINE COAST LINE: Customers, please be advised that Thursday morning's 5.56am inbound service from Gympie North will be required to be replaced by buses from Gympie North to Nambour due to a rostering issue.

This is a flow on impact from the partial cancellation of this evening's 5.49pm Central to Gympie North service, which was also required to be serviced by buses between Nambour and Gympie North.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these alterations and will be online from 6am Thursday morning to assist with any queries. 

What the hell is going on here?

No qualified ICE drivers available for Thursday morning most likely, or they didn't have the 3rd crew member if it's not a ICE.

Been reported last night on Facebook via QR that they weren't able to have the 3rd crew member rostered in time for this morning's IMU operated 'GympieLander'.

And now to add to this the 9:40am train was cancelled. Meaning an hour of waiting because your bus driver couldn't do their job. Can I enquire why it was cancelled @TransLinkSEQ?

I know the feeling. I got to the train station and just missed my bus. Waited 45 minutes for the next one and it didn't show. Waited another 45 minutes for the last bus of the night. Didn't show either🤷‍♀️ had to uber
