Train commuters travelling in the Brisbane CBD can expect delays of up to an hour after a police incident caused all trains to be stopped this evening.

TRAIN commuters travelling in the Brisbane CBD can expect delays of up to an hour after a police incident caused all trains to be stopped this evening.

Police were called to the Fortitude Valley train station around 8.10pm to reports someone had climbed onto the train tracks.

All trains running between the Central and Fortitude Valley stations were stopped while police investigated, which affected all train lines.

A Queensland Police spokesman said police were unable to find the person reported to be on the tracks, and the incident was cleared by around 9pm.

However, a TransLink spokesman said all trains travelling between the Central and Fortitude Valley stations will experience residual delays of up to an hour.
