I think Translink need to be pressured to offer up refunds for that incident last night....absolutely chaotic commute for gold coast commuters....

How come this notification says that 3 hours ago things were back to normal when my almost 16yo daughter was sitting on the train at Park Road from 6pm til 9.30pm travelling alone with very little information. Then suddenly with no notice it was decided to terminate train at Kuraby when her parents are on the GCoast. She was scared and did not know what to do and as a parent feeling so far away and very concerned for my daughters safety late at night at a station. There was no staff or security around for her to go to. You had 3 hours to arrange something! Maybe given it was peak hour, buses for Gold Coast line should have been arranged after the first hour which would have bypassed some of the congestion and issues with going express let alone ensuring passengers are safe. It is now 10pm and my daughter is only at Beenleigh. I am absolutely disgusted with how this was managed and have lost all faith in the safety of my daughter travelling with you. I felt helpless and translink customer service was very little help. With all the dramas that occur at train stations I would have thought security would be a number 1 issue. Honestly I am so disappointed and angry and will not feel ok until my daughter is safe with me.

Appalling performance last night from TL and QR.  Bugger all updates, virtually invisible online.  Traincrew on my service at least kept us regularly updated, no complaints about them.

Thevsituation on the ground was much better handled the previous night even with 3 separate incidents.

As a consumer I think we need to be taking a stance against translink and making a statement. Four hours to get home last night along with many others, finally arriving at my destination at 10:10pm due to "signal faults" 🙄 with no updates is just simply unacceptable in today's day and age especially with the technology available to us.

Given translink is refusing to compensate (see below) us for the appalling service last night, Im refusing to pay for my morning service. I urge everyone else to do the same!
I pay for my ticket expecting to be at my destination at the allotted time (give and take a little) but if translink cannot provide an adequate service and refuse to compensate us then I think it's time we start being more mindful and taking matters into our own hands!
