Yo.  TransLink split the through services into to and from Roma.  They will often put a first service disruption for say Kippa-Ring to Roma St, then a second for Roma St to Springfield for example ...

Usually because during peak hour they may be able to swap services depending on when they were made aware of the issue.

Couriermail --> Huge train delays after police incidents

PEAK hour train services were plunged into chaos with all services between Brisbane and the Gold Coast suspended after two men sparked "police incidents" this afternoon.

Police were negotiating with a man reportedly on the roof of Woodridge station, forcing all services to halt between Kuraby and Beenleigh stations. He had been arrested by 4.45pm.

A second man was arrested shortly before, after police responded to a separate incident at Trinder Park station. It's understood that man was also on the roof of the station.

Passengers from Brisbane to the Gold Coast had their services terminated at Kuraby station, with bus services in place to Beenleigh station.

Delays of up to two hours were initially expected but trains had resumed by 4.55pm. TransLink said residual delays of up to an hour were expected.

TransLink earlier said Beenleigh and Gold Coast line trains were suspended in both directions between Kingston and Beenleigh stations "due to an incident requiring emergency services".

One passenger later confirmed a train driver told passengers: "I hate to be the bearer of bad news but someone is on the roof of Woodridge station, causing mischief and it is affecting all services."

Authorities later told The Courier-Mail the Trinder Park station incident also involved a man on the roof.
