Reported service disruptions rail - no longer in use

Just a query ... in the doublespeak that TransLink uses to report disruption to services, I take it there is still a difference between 'medical emergency' (maybe involving ambulance) and a 'police incident'.  Or have all of these been rolled into one now and reported as 'an incident involving emergency services'?  If TransLink ran the Reserve Bank, it would report an interest rate hike as a 'money matter'.

It is difficult to be real sure, as it appears that similar events are often reported as varying descriptions.

A medical emergency I understand to either be sick pax or crew.  They could state ill passenger or ill crew, and believe or not they sometimes do.

A police incident could be a person struck by train (other jurisdictions report that as a matter of fact) or could be the local drunks at Goodna causing a kerfuffle, or even an abandoned suitcase at Roma St.

An incident involving emergency services could be the above descriptors for ' police incident' or perhaps a wombat on the line.

There is no real clarity or consistency with their reporting.  Just a bumbling befuddle.  We even had a ' door issue ' reported yesterday instead of the more generic ' rollingstock issue ' which is sometimes reported as ' mechanical issue '.

They are in fact a sad joke.  A broom needs to go through the whole lot of these underachievers.   :fp:

Interestingly the link states 15 minute delays. Like the right hand of TransLink doesn't know what the left hand is doing.
