A PERSON has been struck by a train on Brisbane's northside.

Queensland Ambulance Service said it had received reports about 4.40pm that a male had been hit by a train.

Two QAS crews were at the scene at Bilsen Rd, Geebung, assessing the person, along with police and fire officers.

Trains on the Redcliffe Peninsula, Caboolture and Sunshine Coast lines have been suspended in both directions at Sunshine station.

Queensland Rail has advised buses are being arranged to travel between the stations but have warned major delays are expected.

this is getting a bit ridiculous with this still crap rail frequency @ sandgate etc....if you take a look at 7.05 - 8.05  which is a very busy peak period....you have the feeder routes 690/691 running at double the frequency of trains.

Cattle class service again. 3 stations in on the shorncliffe line and it's jam packed.
