I have received advice that due to some issues with some go gates there was some redirection of go card users this morning at Central.

There will be a notice from TransLink in due course.

Go Card readers malfunction at Central Station

Go Card technicians were this morning heading to Central Station to check ticket readers after thousands of rail commuters trying to exit through Edward Street were re-directed to exits at Creek and Ann streets.

Translink said six card readers at Central Station had been out of action this morning, with an electrical fault suspected for causing the problem.

The fault should be fixed by mid-morning, a Translink spokesman said.

Technicians were expected at Central Station at 10am.
