For interest, a breakup of the reasons stated by Translink in the service disruptions reported for Citytrain were recorded for the month of May.

It is an interesting overview of the reported causes of trains running late or cancelled for the Month of May 2023.

It would appear reliability of the train fleet is a major issue, as are frequent ' signalling issues '.
