Partner and I saw these weird signs around KGS bus station. They look like kind of like coloured QR codes - anyone know what they are?

Interesting, I have no idea at present.  If no one knows I will ask TransLink.

Are they actually a legit thing at all? To me, that hanging one looks crooked and more rough than an authorised piece of signage.

That's pretty cool, hopefully we start to see more of them around the network then!

I have also received this response from TransLink:

Dear Mr Dow,

Thank you for contacting TransLink.

TransLink is conducting a Proof of Concept trail of the NaviLens solution to provide real-time
Information, wayfinding to customers and audible experiences for people with visual impairment.

The NaviLens technology utilises colourful, readable codes that look similar to a QR code but are bigger in size to ensure the codes can be read from a distance through a mobile app.

>From Monday 22nd November, we will have installed Navilens codes at the following stations and stops:

    King George Square Bus Station
Roma Street Stop 138, near Ann Street
Ann Street Stop 10, at King George Square
Adelaide Street Stop 42, near Albert Street
Adelaide Street Stop 21, at City Hall
Adelaide Street Stop 20, at City Hall

The trial will go for approximately 10 weeks, until Monday 31st January. Testing will be conducted with selected internal and external stakeholder groups through invitation only. The general public will not be directly invited to test the solution; however, they may notice the codes or hear about it and choose to download the mobile apps and interact with the solution.

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Emily

Sounds like a good idea! Being a trial would explain looking a bit rough.
