^ another sign of the generalised failure that has beset the Transport portfolio ..

>>> Trouble in Paradise

It is pathetic, even when they stick to the 10th it is still around 6 weeks delayed.
Other jurisdictions get this data out promptly within a week or so after the close of the proceeding month.
Not in non-transparent Queensland.  They deliberately slow it to minimise its currency.

We are treated like fools!

Email sent to the Transport Minister, TransLink DDG, CEO Queensland Rail CC.  Premier and local MP

13th May 2021

Publication of TransLink Monthly Performance Snapshot and Queensland Rail OTR data for March 2021 - where is it?

Greetings,

Is there a reason why the TransLink Monthly Performance Snapshot for March 2021 and the Queensland Rail Performance data for March 2021 has not been published?

This data is normally published on or about the 10th each month for the month preceding the last month in line with a commitment made by Minister Bailey  ( page 11 Hansard Estimates - Transport and Main Roads (Proof)
https://www.parliament.qld.gov.au/documents/hansard/2018/2018_07_27_EstimatesTPC.pdf ).

It would be good if this delay in reporting the Monthly on-time running data could be reduced from around six weeks to two weeks as for other jurisdictions.

So we are now falling further and further behind. A lack of timely publication suggests an unwillingness for public scrutiny.

An unsatisfactory situation on many levels.

Best wishes,

Robert

I have a hunch that the March Monthly Snapshot and the QR Performance data was held back deliberately until question time finished in Queensland Parliament yesterday.

They will do anything to avoid scrutiny.

Just my opinion.  In the absence of the courtesy of an explanation that is my gut feeling.

There may be a rational explanation but I can't think of one other than a political block.

I don't think TransLink nor Queensland Rail are at fault.
