If you are not able to watch the estimates via the Parliament TV service,  there is a transcript made available later.

Questions on new trains and open competitive tendering. I think the member.of Chatsworth is doing a good job by asking those questions.

I was hoping they would give up on the ' email ' and get stuck into the more substantive issues.

LXs, CRR, Sunshine Coast line, Gympie North services and so forth.

Yeah the email thing is past news they should of focused on the real issues. Minister Bailey did answer one re Downer and exclusive access to his office which is questionable.

^^But he may have talked to Alstom and other manufacturers too, who knows?

Just hope a proper competitive process is followed. It looks like that is the case. Maybe Alstom or another manufacturer may use a new facility in combination with overseas facilities.

The members from the Sunshine coast should of asked how fast rail will integrate into the Sunshine coast upgrades. Opportunity missed.

Steve Minnikin should of stated in his question instead of impacts how long the line will be shut down between Park Road and Yeerongpilly? I reckon 3 months.

Yeah Minnikin is coming across as a bit of a knob, first by trying to link curvature issues to fast intercity rail derailments, and second that all the design changes are basically to keep Trad happy because he seemingly hates Boggo Rd station.

I dont think anyone was ever at risk of dying or derailing as a result of the curve, it would have caused premature wear on wheels though, a similar problem occurred when RRL opened on the north melbourne flyover:
