Combining the Queensland Rail total (aggregate) results on the same axes allows a better appreciation of what is happening.

Sent to all outlets:

Update on on-time running performance for Citytrain Queensland Rail Month of July 2020

12th September 2020

All lines on-time running performance is excellent.  As can be noted there is a relationship between passenger numbers and on-time running performance. Patronage on the TransLink network is slowly recovering ( see graph below - data is from the TransLink Performance Snapshots).

Hopefully this excellent on-time running performance by Queensland Rail Citytrain will be maintained as patronage continues to build.

Data is from Queensland Rail at https://www.queenslandrail.com.au/aboutus/ourperformance/service-punctuality-and-reliability  This data is published on or about the 10th each month for the month preceding the last month.  It would be good if this delay in reporting the data could be reduced from around six weeks to two weeks as for other jurisdictions.

All services, including peak and off-peak, are measured as on-time when they arrive within three minutes and 59 seconds of their scheduled time, or 5 minutes and 59 seconds on interurban services - Gold Coast, Rosewood and Sunshine Coast. Target is > 95% on time.

FMA = force majeure adjusted
CI = customer impact (what passengers actually experience)
CP = combined peaks

Reference at the RBoT forum https://railbotforum.org/mbs/index.php?topic=13993.0 where detailed analyses of all lines is available.
