I would like to frame a set of questions to put to the various parties and independents leading into the State Election.

Example:

Do you support the introduction of a Public Transport Ombudsman for Queensland?

Please add your thoughts, and we can then come up with a workable document.

I will finalise after the 28th February 2020.

Thanks.

Do you believe the State should have stronger control of Brisbane's bus network, consistent with other parts of Queensland?

Support the introduction of innovative ticketing products eg. periodical and better caps, on the new smart ticketing system for Queensland?

What is your plan for the completion of the ultimate busway network as originally planned in the 2000s?

What are your priorities for expansion of the rail network post CRR and the Sunshine Coast duplication?

Sunday and Public Holiday Caps as well as a daily and Weekly cap. I do like that Sydney system in that respect and many people that I know who visit Sydney say that "The Daily, Sunday and Public Holiday caps are good."

Also introduce a distance based fare.system.for the whole.of Qld. Just to go a station or 2 or a stop or 2 is quite expensive. A 50c flagfall plus the distance travelled?

The missing link should be completed from RBH to the Lutwyche portal with a new combined train.amd metro/bus station at Windsor co-funded by a mixed use mid rise tower above the station and new low to mid rise buildings around the proposed station.

Heavy rail extension to Coolangatta, and Helidon. (The extension to Helidon should attract Federal funds as it's a part of the Regional Fast rail project)

Extend the TransLink bus service to Cairns Airport----->https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/topic?url=https%3A%2F%2Frailbotforum%2Eorg%2Fmbs%2Findex%2Ephp%3Ftopic%3D11418%2E0&share_tid=11418&share_fid=4639&share_type=t&link_source=app

^^Extend the Translink bus service to both Townsville and Toowoomba Wellcamp Airports as well.

Does the community have to wait another 50 years for a public bus to these respective Airports. We don't want the scenario where all of sudden a private service fills the void with exclusive contracts like what has happened to Brisbane and Melbourne Airports respectively.

When do Queensland actually plan on becoming the smart state and introducing rail services greater than half hourly on weekends? Suggest ministers look to Perth as a city smaller but with far better PT.

The CAMCOS rail corridor from Beerwah to Maroochydore was promised to be at Caloundra by 2015 and Maroochydore by 2020 in a May 2007 document, (subsequently tabled in parliament by Brent Mickelberg MP).
When will these works now start?
