? Support the Manager ? Strategic Network Planning and Principal Strategic Network Planner in developing and reviewing the 10-year TransLink Plan and short-term (4 year) public transport network program to ensure the provision of effective urban transit services (with an emphasis on the rail network).

? Assist in the development of longer-term public transport planning strategies and actions and have regard to these in preparation of TransLink's Network Plan.

? Prepare, review and assess proposals for public transport infrastructure and service improvements.

? Maintain effective relationships with other TransLink Groups, representatives of other branches of Queensland Transport, clients and stakeholders, including strategic rail planning stakeholders.

? Assist in the development and application of strategic rail service standards such as service interval, coverage and span.

But interesting that rail gets an 'honourable mention' ...

Someone with the right skills and qualifications it would be an interesting position no doubt.

Will be a little difficult for the suscessful candidate to get any job satisfaction from doing a worthwhile job in the advertised position when one will be gagged and have both hands tied by TTA management, Transport Department politicial aspirants and then Government Ministerial advisers mindfull of political expediency.

There are also two public temporary positions for the "Real-Time Passenger Information System" (RPTIS).  (That sounds interesting.)

Project Manager (RPTIS) - AO7
Temporary Senior Project Officer - AO6
