I know this is a bit of a picky one - but it would be smarter if they provided free travel from the entire CBD precinct, rather than just select stations & venues around the CBD.

Adelaide Street is a notable exemption from the free post-event travel, likewise Elizabeth Street & other CBD locations. While there aren't many buses only serving Adelaide St at this hour (mainly 3XX and 4XX services), probably better to be encouraging people to use public transport, rather than discouraging people based on where they live.

It's probably painful enough for people on these routes having to deal with hourly services!
Is it really that hard to run frequent, reliable public transport?

^Agree. I'll be right at the northern end of Adelaide St at a friend's apartment and need to get back to KGS Station. Luckily, they live right outside on of the 199 stops. But, I'll have to pay a one zone fair to get it back to KGS then I'm entitled to free travel back home. But, since I live in Zone 1 too, this leg of the journey will be free for me anyway (as I paid for the 199 leg) making the free travel option completely redundant for me and my family...

There are an abundance of vantage points along the river here near the Story Bridge meaning that people will be swarming to stops here and in the Valley and everyone here won't be able to get a free trip home, particularly for those heading north. Something to consider for next year.
