RPL opened October 2016 this would account for the sharp pax drop (Sandgate and Shorncliffe) seen in FY 16/17.
There was a 8.8% reduction in total pax from FY 15/16 to FY 16/17.
Half baked projects, have long term consequences ...

Bindha being closed until the cannery site gets redeveloped seems like a good idea.

In 2016 North Boondall had pedestrian access from Deagon cut off. The stations parking lot was blocked for residents coming from the south/Taigum for the gateway upgrade. This was a very popular move as you rat run along a quiet Roghan Road and then quiet backstreets bypassing sandgate road traffic and then straight into a parking lot that deagon residents did not use as getting onto Sandgate road in peak hour to go north at an intersection that had a high crash rate. In arvo peak you go against the peak flow and the Roghan Road/Sandgate road intersection was the last intersection before a quick run behind straight into Taigum. Closure of the Boondal onramp has increased congestion dramatically along Roghan Road along with various road upgrades in the area. Hence the huge drop off of patronage and a similar increase in patronage at Carseldine as you are now doing the same anti peak run that was previously done but into Boondall North.
