This is doing my head in!  The timetable chops and changes so frequently now that the reliability of the train service (let's not get started on the frequent mechanical breakdowns) must be questioned.  We even have to be mindful of the days of the week, aware of when Friday comes around.  There's the Mon-Thurs timetable, the Friday timetable, the Saturday timetable that is different to the Sunday timetable, the Easter timetable, the Christmas holidays timetable, the school holidays timetable, the Commonwealth Games timetable, the line closure bus replacement timetable and the 'when everything goes wrong' timetable (pigeon roosting on a wire, rainwater inundation, possums and 'police incident').  Timetables should be replaced by scratchies to reflect reality. Scratch here to see whether your train is arriving today.

QuotePlan your journey - Super Saturday ahead

This Saturday 31 March, there will be a massive line up of events across South East Queensland. Queen's Baton Relay (QBR), Brisbane Lions, Brisbane Roar, GC2018 dress rehearsals and Festival 2018 celebrations will be taking place at different locations around Brisbane, Gold Coast and Bayside.

As it's also the Easter long weekend, there may be changes to your service timetable.

We're anticipating the network to be busy on Saturday, so we've pulled together some useful links to help you plan your journey, wherever you're travelling.

Not wishing to spoil the good record so far, but worth noting no cancellations or service alterations due to ' mechanical issues ' as far as I can tell so far.  With the reduced number of units in service, they might have carefully selected the more reliable sets?  Anyone know if that is the case.
Been a string of bus issues though, just saying ...

2 hour gap on "Super Saturday" that's terrible QR!

Hopeless stuff.  Let's hope there are no  ' operational ' issues on the Sunny Coast line.  Could well be a 4 hour gap ...

I asked QR on their FB pages what was the cause of the ' operational issue ' on the RPL.  No response as yet.

Heres the sunday shitstorm for the sunny coast.....seriously how long is this crap going to continue for??...

Note: the ones in bold brackets are the only services that connect within a reasonable space 20mins or less....the rest are 39mins up to an atrocious 100 minutes connection gap...

To Caloundra:

outbound trains arriving landsborough 7:28 am  9:28 am [11:28 am]  1:28 pm  1:21 pm  3:28 pm  [5:28 pm] 6:21 pm  7:28 pm  9:28 pm

outbound 605 departing landsborough 8:33 am  [11:33 am] 1:03 pm 4:03 pm  [5:33 pm]  7:03 pm  8:33 pm  10:03 pm

From Caloundra:

605 arrives landsborough  7.57am 10:56 am  [12:26 pm]  3:26 pm  [4:56 pm]  [6:26 pm] 7.56pm

I/b train ex landsborough  6:36 am  8:36 am  10:36 am  [12:36 pm]  2:36 pm  [5:16 pm]  4:36 pm  [6:36 pm] 8.36pm

There are clear and present issues here with Caloundra....there is excessive air being carried on the 600 between Caloundra and kawana as well as the 607 between Caloundra and currumundi.....and yet they choose not to scale those services back so as to offer up more bus-rail services on weekends.....it is an absolute joke...

^ thanks TB.

TransLink actually acknowledge that the connections are in the main broken.
They don't care a continental about doing anything about it.
