All is not well down at City Hall it seems.  :yikes:

Fraudsters steal $450,000 from Brisbane City Council in elaborate scam

http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/queensland/fraudsters-steal-450000-from-brisbane-city-council-in-elaborate-scam-20160815-gqt2tv.html

Quote
Cr Quirk said they contacted the council by both phone and through legitimate-looking emails that included signatures, advising it of a change in account details.

As a result, $450,904.76 over nine payments, dating back to July 13, was made to a false account.

Perhaps the same outfit were responsible for stealing all the brains at City Hall too?

I think the wheels will come off and leadership change will follow. The team down at City Hall are just stagnant.

I'm no fan of Quirk but this is a massive beat up.  As they rightly point out, the same questions can be levied against QIC and various state agencies.  BCC and other councils routinely approve their own projects, and this isn't even a Council project.
