I do not support Mr Emerson continuing in the transport role.  Connected to too much past failure, both network and fares.

I have had meetings with Ms Simpson and Mr Nicholls in their times as shadow Transport Ministers.

Mr Minnikin ( a former Assistant Minister for Public Transport - Newman Govt ) was project director for the TransLink 2013 bus review, and he does actually understand very well the need for proper reform.

I would be supportive of both Mr Minnikin or Ms. Simpson in transport.

Changed my mind.

Minnikin is the best candidate. The reason is that he has firsthand experience of the bus review falling over and BCC's role in it.

That experience is very valuable for Bus Reform II. Being in Brisbane also means it is easier to respond to issues etc.

Minnikin -- good grasp of issues ... more focussed on outcomes rather than political point-scoring

The Sunday Mail has a short piece today on the shadow cabinet, looks like Scotty could end up Treasurer shadow ..    :P

Has was awfully close to Tim Nicholls when walking out of the room. I guess that's the giveaway!
