Light Rail and Bus Reform - Guide For Media Outlets

Greetings.

It can be sometimes difficult to understand the competing arguments for and against particular transit approaches. We break down
the complexity with our Light Rail and Bus Reform - Guide For Media Outlets.

Generally, the most important things are service quality, not vehicle choice. These are things like speed, frequency, span of hours and
level of priority (A, B, C) given to the service. There is no reason why the road priorities given to Light Rail cannot also be given to buses (i.e separated lanes, removal of level intersections, etc). Indeed, this is what the Brisbane busway system is, priority for buses.

Best wishes,
Robert
