I am all for that and if HSR ever comes into play they can revert the existing line  and use it as electrified freight and commuter mix

P.s Wander if it will be 25Kv AC or 1500v DC system. The newer Sydney trains are dual voltage apparently in a proposed mootted move to 25kv Ac!?
