Hello all.  The first bus on a Saturday from Carindale is 8:15 or so arriving at UQ Lakes about an hour later.  How reliable is this bus particularly on Saturdays?

Don't think it'd be too bad, but if you're coming from Carindale, you could also catch a 222 to Buranda Busway where you can still hop on a 209, but also a 139 or 169 that all run to UQ.
There is no silver bullet... but there is silver buckshot.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

139 doesn't operate on Saturdays. The 169 also syncs up badly with the 222 (169 departs 1 min after the 222 leaves), so beware that. You may be better off just changing to a 66 at Mater Hill.

On the whole, the 209 is pretty reliable and often runs a bit early, mainly because nobody is travelling on it on a weekend because there's no undergrad classes occurring (just a few postgrad ones).
Is it really that hard to run frequent, reliable public transport?

Thanks everyone.  It's just that my son had a meeting at 9.00 at the Uni on Sat.  We live in Cleveland and it is a bloody long drive out to UQ with pretty heavy traffic even at 8am on a Saturday.  I told him next time I'm taking him to Carindale to catch the 209!
