Brisbane 2022 New World City Action Plan

Transport?   Not really addressed in any real detail.  A functioning economy needs a functioning transport system.

Another nice glossy to add to the ever growing collection of ' plans ' ...

"What are you going to do today Bob? "   " I am going to publish a glossy plan! "

"What is the plan about Bob?"  " "It is a glossy plan about plans! "

"Wow .. "

It's a bit of puff. I had a skim of it and it sounds like a whole heap of nothing cloaked in fanfare and hype.

It just amazes me how much one can write about trumped-up hype. Most things economic are outside the control of Brisbane City Council. Brisbane City Council's job is to deal with and manage the public sector services like flood and disaster control, ensure public spaces are well designed and kept, functional transport, public utilities, building and development etc.

BCC had another plan before this - RiverCity BluePrint... now in the bottom desk of someone's drawer...

Negative people... have a problem for every solution. Posts are commentary and are not necessarily endorsed by RAIL Back on Track or its members.

Must be a BCC election around the corner.

Note that all these plans have an implementation date beyond the point at which the official, party or government, most likely, will not be in power.  Many of these plans are about trying to set up the Opposition so that they fail to deliver on the plans that you devise, but which you could never hope to achieve anyway, because people won't put in the hard yards to find serious money for construction.  The new mob scrap the previous plan (CRR >> BAT), launch their own grand plan and the cycle repeats. The only budget you work to is the fund for graphic artists, website designers, camerapersons and printers.  Cheap.
