Brisbane Transport/TransLink NYE Observations

Overall good however:

* Some pax at Mater Hill needed to go into the CBD. There were no buses going TO the CBD, hence these passengers were stranded. All busway buses were flowing out of the CBD.

* I observed no signage stating that this was the case nor on the electronic displays, which were blank save for the time. There was a TransLink A-frame but this was general information about NYE services.

* A number of BT buses had pax packed into the bus right up to the front door - i.e. passengers clearly standing in the red zone and clearly directly behind the front bi-fold leaf doors while going down the busway at high speed.

Overall though, pax were cleared quickly and there was platform personnel assistance.
