Indeed.  My grandfather visited India in 1956 and travelled all over by rail, including the DHR and Shimla - still steam then too.  I have the slides.  Will scan them one of these days ..

^ similar, but not the same. For example DHR has a new ROW, and Shimla is now diesel, was steam when my Grandpa was on board.

But these things are a mere trifle of life.  It is just wonderful that these lines still continue.

Maybe the world will realise just how efficient and critical rail is.
