Additional service for the Ipswich line

Last updated: 4.40pm Wednesday 6 November 2013

On Monday 2 December, a new service will be added to the Ipswich line to improve the frequency and efficiency of the City network.

The additional service will depart Ipswich station at 12.07am late Friday night/early Saturday morning, and arrive at Central at 1.05am.

This new train will continue the half hourly off peak frequency throughout Friday night.

That's nice of them! Now if they would just get rid of the hourly Sunday morning frequency on Sunday mornings on the Caboolture, Ipswich and Richlands lines like the Sector 2 lines, that'd be something to cheer about!
All opinions stated are my own and do not reflect those held by my employer.

BrizCommuter

QR/TransLink should have the arrival time at Fortitude Valley in their press release, given the expected patronage on that service.

I'll also agree with that. At the very least they could start half-hourly frequency at 8am on Sunday. It is probably one of the most annoying things on the entire rail network that 15 minute frequency doesn't start on the inner sections (Darra - Northgate) until 10am in the morning...
Is it really that hard to run frequent, reliable public transport?
