Facebook and Twitter plugins...

Just wondering if there is a way that I can disable the Facebook and Twitter plugins on this forum?  I'm asking as every time I load up a page with them on there, it locks up my browser (and I've tried them all), for a period of time while it loads them up, and during that time, I can't scroll, click or really do anything.  So, is it possible for me to disable them and if so, how?

Just have to ask as it's driving me insane, and the larger the threads, the longer it takes to load.

No.  It is the face book plug in. It seems to be a problem with firefox.  We will see how it goes .. if it continues to be a problem I might get rid of it.

No issues with chrome ..

Have also noted that with Fire Fox  25.0 (latest) problem is a lot less ...  upgrade to that version if not using it.

Having the links to FB and Twitter is very useful for a lot of reasons ...

Threads with images, videos etc. will also take time to load depending on your speed.  You can disable images etc. through your browser setups.
Half baked projects, have long term consequences ...
