BUS drivers say they are being forced to put their passengers' lives at risk in order to meet unrealistic timetables as bus operators struggle to hit their performance target.   
Private bus operator Transdev, which runs services in Sydney's south and southwestern suburbs, this month wrote to drivers warning them they face "disciplinary action" if they begin their run too early or too late.
But drivers say Sydney's notorious traffic can make a mess of the timetable and pressure on drivers is only going to get worse when the new timetable is introduced next month
