Recently I found out that it is very easy to get a BCC e-petition going, with that in mind......

I have set up an BCC E-petition calling for the existing George St on road separated bike lanes to be extended all the way down to Parliament house. It has frustrated me greatly that these lanes have stayed the length they are since there opening in 2009 because there lack of length is constraining there effectiveness. grrrrrr grrrrrrrr and more grrrrrrrrr. I honestly believe this would have minimum impact on bus services that use George St as it would be on the opposite side to the Bus Stops and the reduce lanes would further discourage general traffic from using the street. The lanes being occupied by parked cars during the off peak & a taxi rank 24/7!

If would like to sign, once you have signed BCC will send you a confirmation email that you will need to click on to make your signature valid. This confirmation email may appear in your junk folder!

Signed.
Thanks Donald for informing me that these BCC petitions exist. I have a few ideas of my own.

Update: I emailed the petition link to the 300 locker users in my workplace on George St at 11am. I'm receiving quite a few positive responses so I expect signatures to increase significantly from the 31 when I signed it.

Thank you every one that has signed so far! It has just broken 100 signatures which is not bad for a BCC e-petition. Also 100 was my goal in total so I am very happy that it has already reached that.

Thank You
Donald
