Sunshine Coast Line : Delays for OCTOBER 2012

October delays thus far ... to SC commuters.

The times reported below do not take into account the 3 minutes and 59 second allowance that QR's service contract to TRANSLink allows.

In my opinion, when the public hear the words "on-time performance" they would assume this means what it says.
But for TRANSLink, the authority now under TMR jurisdiction and tasked with overseeing public transport, this is NOT the case and 'spin' is used to obfuscate the truth by changing the definition of 'on-time'.

A Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast train e.g. can be up to 5 minutes and 59 seconds late and still be considered 'on-time'.
Interestingly, this point was omitted in the Independent Audit into the reliability of Queensland Rail's south-east Queensland network Final report, dated June 2012 and prepared for the Transport Minister, Hon. Scott Emerson MP.

It also does wonders for off-time performance figures.
All times shown below are actual arrival times.
Early arrival times are noted and subtracted from the TTL (total time lost), times less than 2 minutes late are also NOT added to these figures.
