Sunshine Coast Line : Delays for SEPTEMBER 2012

September delays thus far ... to SC commuters.

The times reported below do not take into account the 3 minutes and 59 second allowance that QR's service contract to TRANSLink allows.
TRANSLink allow trains from the Gold and Sunshine Coasts to be 6 minutes late before being recorded as such.
NOTE: TRANSLink is now a department of Transport and Main Roads with former CEO Mr Neil Scales, as Deputy Director General of the section.

In my opinion, when the public hear the words "on-time performance" they would assume this means what it says.
But for TRANSLink, the authority tasked with overseeing the public transport system, this is NOT the case and 'spin' is used to obfuscate the truth by changing the definition of 'on-time'.

A Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast train e.g. can be up to 5 minutes and 59 seconds late and still be considered 'on-time'.
This of course does wonders for their on-time performance figures.
The times shown below are actual times.
