Ministerial Statement

Following a number of enquiries to this office regarding relatives of MPs, I can confirm that no relatives of MPs are employed by my office and none of my family are employed within the public sector or other Ministers' offices.

Minister Ros Bates' son Ben Gommers is employed by the Department of Transport and Main Roads as a Departmental Liaison Officer.

His appointment followed an expression of interest process in April.

Prior to being employed by DTMR, Mr Gommers was employed by Transport NSW.
