I propose to run the 444, 443 and 412 inbound via Skew St and Roma St Bus Station into Queen St Bus Station platform B, then outbound via the Cultural Centre, Grey St, Peel St and the Go Between Bridge.

The major limitations with the above are:
(a) increased congestion in the PM peak on the outbound Cultural Centre platform.
(b) Mitlon O/B stop could no longer be served by either the 412 or 444.
(c) It becomes an asymmetric route
(d) Capacity at QSBS B would have a question mark

This would free up much of Adelaide St stop 16 as a layover, which could be used by the 310, 315 and 320

To be honest, I don't see very much benefit from having the 412 and 109 together.  I was going to say to keep them together at QSBS B, but it seems a bit pointless when I think about it.  The bendy buses would foul the stop behind.

Is this part of some other idea?  The St Pauls Tce routes go nowhere near this end of town - the 301 is the closest that does.

109 and 412 sharing a city stop I believe is mostly just because they always have, but also a little bit of a laod spreader. Depending on where a class is it sometimes doesn't make much difference which one you take so it can just be a 'which ever turns up first' situation. Sharing a stop isn't a necessity, but I'd want them to at least be adjacent.
There is no silver bullet... but there is silver buckshot.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I'm just throwing that in because there will be layover space available there, and I hate the Edward St termination from the Valley.

I guess it makes less sense without Centenary from KGSBS via Milton Rd & Western Freeway

I don't support moving the 412 to a different part of the CBD than the 109. I agree with Golliwog in that the stops should at least be adjacent so the "use the first bus that arrives" principle applies.

I can see that idea.  But leaving the 444+443 where it is goes completely against it.

If you throw Centenary via Western Freeway into KGSBS there would be plenty of capacity in QSBS B for all the other western routes.
