This route would link the following high-frequency radial routes:

130
140
150
555
Probably half a dozen rocket derivatives of the above

And also the Beenleigh line.

Thoughts/suggestions?

Hate to be negative, but I'm not entirely sure what trips you are trying to capture here.

Basically Springwood to anywhere served by the 130/140/150 BUZ routes without having to go via GU Busway Station (and vice-versa)

I also think it may be quicker than the current 550 Springwood to Browns Plains which takes 53 minutes.  Effectively connecting two local activity centres without duplicating the bit that is already well served.

I'd go further - all the way to Wacol station via what is a fairly direct route.

In a slight more ideal world, there would be a station at Compton Road so there would be no need to go via Kuraby, but this way at least it has a decent walk-up catchment.

With a frequent enough service that should be a much better option for getting between the Beenleigh and Ipswich lines than any of the alternatives (eg 104 is too close to town, 598/599 is half-arsed at Rocklea/Salisbury because of bad design and low frequency etc).

^ I think the next step after that would be Darra (or even Mt Ommaney via Darra) via the Ipswich Mwy to Upper Mt Gravatt.  Couple of ways to do that after Granard Rd depending on the balance you want to strike between access to major trip attractors from the west, directness, catchment, interchange opportunities etc:

- via Kessels Rd direct
- via Kessels/Orange Grove/Musgrave/Kessels
- via Kessels/Orange Grove/Musgrave/Nathan Campus/Klumpp/Logan
- via Boundary/Padstow/Logan
- via Boundary/Mains/Kessels
- via Boundary/McCullough/Padstow/Miles Platting/busway

I know there have been threads on point outlining more or less the same.

I've had a similar concept in my head before for a 590/369-style cross-town service, never came up with a number though. The route which I had in mind went:

Goodna SC, Goodna station interchange, Brisbane Tce, Gailes station, Wilruna St, Wacol station, Progress Rd, Richlands Stn, Poinsettia St, Inala Ave, Learoyd Rd, (L) Watson Rd, (R) Elizabeth St, (R) Beaudesert Rd, (L) Compton Rd, (L) Allingham St, Kuraby station, Beenleigh Rd, (R) Logan Rd, Springwood interchange.

Possible variations:
* Instead of serving Gailes station, perhaps go via The Park mental hospital via Boyce Rd and Wolston Park Rd? Surely there must be outpatients, staff, visitors, etc. who need to get there?
* Rather than ducking into Acacia Ridge, perhaps go straight along Learoyd Rd? This will be quicker, but nobody lives along Learoyd Road along that stretch

this is where a beudesert rd buz service could really add value to a future cross town service to complement the proposals mentioned above.
