Changes to 2012 back to school bus services

From Monday 23 January, we're adding services and making changes to some school routes for the new school year to reduce overcrowding and help minimise the need for students to change buses.

The following routes will change in the new school year:
Route 110

    Two extra short trips will be introduced on route 110 from Monday 23 January–one in the morning and one in the afternoon (during school term only).
    The new morning trip will leave from the "Learoyd Road" stop (located on Watson Road) Acacia Ridge at 7.30am, and follow the normal route to the city. The new afternoon trip will depart Yeronga State School at 2.45pm, and follow the normal route to Inala.

Route 703

     This service will start and finish at Mt Ommaney Shopping Centre.

Route 811

    This new Brisbane Transport route will replace Moreton Bay Coaches route 5016. There will be minor diversions to the route to improve safety.

    Balmoral State High School.

Route 815

    This new Brisbane Transport route will replace Moreton Bay Coaches route 5078. This route will now start at Belmont Shopping Centre and finish at Wynnum State School. There will be minor diversions to the route to improve safety.

Route 819

    This new Brisbane Transport route will replace Moreton Bay Coaches route 5078. This route will now start at Carindale Shopping Centre and finish at Wynnum State School and run express from Manly Road to Iona College. There will be minor diversions to the route to improve safety.

Route 820

    An additional trip will leave Mansfield High School at 3.18pm and arrive at Garden City at 3.33pm.

Routes 828, 833 and 845

    Terminus will be relocated to Elgar Street (near Macklin Street) to improve safety. These services will travel from this stop then right into Macklin Street, Seville Road, Glindermann Drive and then continue along normal route.

Route 839

    This service will now depart from the Acacia Ridge terminus at 7.25am to provide better connections with other routes.

Route 849

    This service will now depart at 7.35am from stop 9 on Annerley Road.

Route 856

    This new Brisbane Transport route will replace Moreton Bay Coaches route 5179.There will be minor diversions to the route to improve safety.

Routes 861, 864 and 865

    There will be adjustments to the departure times of these services to coordinate with the new school hours for Runcorn State High. These services will now leave at 3pm.

Route 862

    This service will now depart at 7.57am from Algester Road stop 88A to coordinate with the new school hours for Runcorn State High.

Routes 892 and 893

    The bus stop on Warrigal Road (near Oakleaf Street) will be removed to ease congestion in the area.
    There will be an additional route 893 service departing Mt Gravatt High at 2.55pm.

Route 898

    Minor route diversions will be in place. There will be no bus stop changes.

Route 983

    The terminus will be moved from Brunswick Street stop 202 to stop 229 on Wickham Street.
