SEQ: Bike and BUZ

RAIL Back On Track (http://backontrack.org) a web based community support group for rail and public transport and an advocate for public transport passengers suggests Brisbane City Council, TransLink and the State Government consider tighter integration with cycling on the BUZ bus network.

Robert Dow, Spokesman for RAIL Back On Track said:

"The ACT Government has recently committed $700,000 towards bicycle-bus integration on its rapid bus network (1,2,3). Placing cycling racks at bus stops on the BUZ network is a fast and inexpensive way to increase the catchment area and make public transport easier to use. We would like to see such a scheme considered for Brisbane."

These are some bicycle racks at Goodna railway station.

These would be the sort of racks that could be placed at bus stops?
