Inbound ex Goodna on 12.27pm down pass SMU229.  524 bus was 11minutes late at my usual bus stop, we made the connection with 50 seconds to spare. One pax did a go card top up enroute as well, fortunately no ticket buyers.

Miss the 12.27pm and next service is 12.57pm.  This is one of the big turnoffs for pax.  The long wait when they miss.
Today we made it ...

Gailes is seriously parked out today, don't think I have ever since as many cars around the station as today. Richlands is full too of course (out there earlier this morning).

It is going to get a lot worse the parking issues ...

On average, a passenger will experience the best and the worst journey times.

Fine line too- few seconds difference between best and worst experiences.

This is why I support 4tph to Ipswich stopping all stations.

Indeed TT.  15 minute frequency is what folks want.  Life would be a lot easier for many.  There is calm resignation out west of Darra that for critical appointments and so forth one has to go for not the service that would work, but the one before. That means heading off an hour earlier. There are just too many misfires ...

4TPH would mean that like today if another punter had brought a ticket on the bus, we would have missed, but not so long wait till the next.

I was thinking that if the powers to be ever did put 4 TPH Richlands (Springfield), a 30 minute shuttle Darra <-> Ipswich, in conjunction with two expresses Ipswich all stations Darra < express> CBD would work.  Pax who catch the shuttle heading to town could transfer at Darra to the trains off the branch.  This would relieve the congestion around Roma St but still get frequency out west.  Remember Darra <-> Ipswich has a lot of local pax traffic as well.

Do you phone to complain each time this happens?

No, why waste mobile call charges.  Do web based feedback a lot cheaper ...
