I see sending this route via Chatsworth Rd actually gives the 222 a reason for existing, and there is an opportunity to properly serve an unserviced area for no real difference in costs.

Seems a largish positive with only small possible negatives, namely not being able to have a single seat between Carindale Heights and W'Gabba.

Any comments?

The Gabba has the 100 BUZ, so taking the 200 out of there isn't an issue.

I can see your proposal being the non-rocket, all-day version of P201. It is also fairly similar to the P205, but with extra stops. The rerouted 200 would also be similar to the P208 or 202, but serves much more of Winstanley St instead of detouring the back streets. Big bonus is that it will be a lot more direct than the 202. Having said that, I think some rationalisation of the other routes might be in order.

There is a potential downside - the corridor is mostly suburban residential housing with a few small-medium shopping centres. Not like the long lines of shops lining Old Cleveland Rd.

Definitely an idea worth exploring. What are the passenger numbers like on the existing routes along the corridor?

I think so, although we would have to give it a new route number for clarity.  (I vote calling it the 205, canning the existing P205 and rerouting the P201 down to Cribb Road given the commonality of the rest of the service with the 200 as far as Carindale - only one/two stop difference.)

If nothing else it would make the OC Rd pattern easier to understand.  222 is the BUZ/express, 203/204 are the all stoppers, P217 is the rocket version, P206 and P207 provide additional capacity in peak and connections to Riverside/Parliament, Veolia services use OC Rd as a thoroughfare from further out.

I don't think this corridor is significantly different to say the 345, which (it appears) may have an extra BUZ (350?) soon.

You could use this opportunity to review whether we actually need the 202 (or even the 203).

Woeful on the 202.  203 is reportedly also an air parcel service between Leicester St and Carindale.
