Anyone have any idea why this uses McIllwraith Av rather than Macrossan Av?  Seem to be getting off the main road.  Only thing I can think of is to leave a smaller gap between it and the 204.

I also aren't particularly impressed with going to Cannon Hill interchange.  I'd expect Carindale would be better.  If so, should that be via Creek Rd/Bedievre St or Baynes St?  I'd hesitate with Creek Rd because it misses an opportunity to provide a direct service to any of the Meadowlands Rd/Gateway/Old Cleveland Rd/Creek Rd area.  Similarly, Baynes St means that any possible "dual action" for Stanley Rd means a long-ish deviation.  Perhaps Bedievre St would be best??

Any comments?

A few other thoughts:

- To better service the primary school and retirement home
- Avoids an unnecessary intersection at Bennetts/Macrossan
- Historical reasons

212?

I guess the 212 does do that, but I'd rather see the 210 frequency increased, as opposed to the 212 as its more direct to Stanley Rd.  Also Oatsen Skyline Dr isn't that far from the 210/Morningside Rail/215/220.

I suppose you could argue that the 212 provides the link to Carindale on that corridor reasonably directly, so a Baynes St route could be OK.

Not sure I'd agree with that, and that area is pretty hilly. Also the pedestrian access where the road cuts down to 2 lanes is not great.

I think Oatson Skyline Dve deserves a bus service but think that the current 212 is less than optimal.  As suggested before, a service which runs via Balmoral Cemetary and Wynnum Rd would be more direct, and/or a cross town route each with dedicated, commuter friendly connection points at Norman Park East to connect to 214/215/220 and (for City service) Norman Park Ferry to connect to 230/235, ferry and much mooted high frequency Wynnum Rd services or (for cross-town service) Morningside Station to connect to train, 235 and much mooted high frequency Wynnum Rd services.

It'd be interesting to know the trip generators and usage on the 212 atm.  Although even then I suspect it would be misleading as people generally do not use terrible services so wouldn't pick up any latent demand.

How are you going to get from Bulimba Cemetery to Oatsen Skyline Dr on the O/B?  You'd need to use either Balmoral St+Bennets Rd or Jack Flynn Memorial Dr, and neither option seems nice to me.

I'd also have to say, what is with the 214+215+220 not serving Morningside Rail?  It's as though they are intentionally discouraging transfers to the train.
