Train crashes into car at Woy Woy

A train has been evacuated after it crashed into a car at a level crossing on the NSW Central Coast.

Police say the car became trapped at the crossing, at Woy Woy, at about 6.15pm (AEST) on Friday.

The driver managed to get out of the vehicle before it was hit by a train.

Police do not believe anyone was injured in the incident and passengers were asked to get off the train.

Train services have been suspended between Hornsby and Gosford.
