Sunshine Coast Airport Turns 50 Today, Friday, 12 August 2011!  To celebrate this important milestone we are hosting this special 'Open Runway' event on Saturday, 13 August 2011...and you're invited!

This is your once-in-a-lifetime chance to set foot where only aircraft tread.  The airport is closing the runway to all aircraft for a special 3-hour-only period.  In this rare window of time, members of the public will join with aviators and VIPs to walk the runway and share in a fantastic morning of free fun and celebrations.
