TAXI drivers will charge Sydney Airport passengers an extra 50¢ from next month after the airport announced yesterday that it would raise its taxi access fee to $3.50.

The extra charge will make the airport's taxi levy the highest in the country.

The fees paid by other commercial drivers will increase by $1, with mini-buses paying $5, buses $7 and coaches $12 to access passenger pick-up zones.
