Article: Night trains reinstated in Cape Town

Evening suburban trains have been reinstated on one of Cape Town's suburban lines, in a trial that will hopefully lead to night service on the whole network.

What caught my eye in particular was this statement by one of the Western Cape provincial politicians:

"If you you don't fix rail, then you don't fix public transport. I want to see 130 trains operable in Cape Town, and we have to get them by hook or by crook. Once we get rail going like it should, we create the space for taxis and buses not to carry the loads they carry now.""
